Works in the series Riez are constructed using a selection from roughly five-hundred photographic fragments cropped from six individual snapshots. Each snapshot functions as source material for one of six color palettes or colors (brown, yellow, grey, blue, black, orange). For each image, fragments from one or up to all six palettes are combined — either manually or using code — in one of sixty-three possible color permutations or combinations.
